Plan your stair project
Enquire about new or replacement timber treads. Record board length, depth, thickness and quantity, then explain any components you want to retain.
No online payment. Send a quote request and we will confirm the specification and price.
Measure the finished floor-to-floor height vertically, the width across the stair and the horizontal space available. Include project notes and confirm whether your finished levels are still changing.
No. The calculator is an indicative geometry tool. Final design, structural support, landings, headroom, handrails, barriers and slip resistance require project-specific checks.
Specify board length, depth and thickness, quantity, timber and surface profile. Board depth and going are different measurements. For replacement treads, provide photographs and the existing stringer housing dimensions rather than ordering from width alone.
Check inclusions, ordering and delivery questions or use the printable measurement sheet. Sending a quote request does not place an order or take payment.
Review the final specification, price, timing and freight before ordering. Ask for the instructions for the actual supplied kit and use the installation planning guide to prepare the site questions.
If an edge is worn, broken or missing, label that on your sketch rather than presenting the remaining size as the original shape. Identify any attached nosing, metal strip or separate part you want to retain, replace or discuss; distinguish it from the timber board.
Changing timber while retaining stringers? State the proposed change and ask whether the actual board section and housing arrangement match. A material name is not a fit check. Include those questions in your tread enquiry, with photographs sent separately by email.
